LaserSoft Imaging

This is a second posting. I checked when I opened siverfast to see if under credits whether or not it is registered to me or not. It is. Why wont it scan. The only option available to me are to open. WHAT. I want to prescan the image in the scanner. The other option to scan rgb, doesn't scan my picture but some peoloaded Silverfast imsge of a pryamid. Anyone know whats up?

I'm a little confused - HDR is not for scanning. It's for working on Raw 48-bit scans from Silverfast AI or other scanning software. That's why it says "Open" because you would be opening a Tiff (or other format) of a Raw scan.

If you wanted to scan, you should have purchased AI for your scanner. Perhaps your scanner isn't supported and that's why you purchased HDR. If so, what you want to do is to open your scanner's software, turn ALL adjustments, settings, color corrections/profiles, etc. OFF and make a Raw 36- or 48-bit scan at the appropriate resolution (usually the highest). Then save it as an uncompressed file (usually Tiff) and then open HDR and click on Open to open and work on that file using the tools in HDR. Once finished, you can save the file with all of the processing.
