Many Bugs - SF 6 - Polaroid 120 - WinXP - Firewire - PS 7.01

I just purchased and downloaded the SF 6.0 upgrade for Ai. I am running WinXP (With SP1 installed), Firewire, Polaroid SS120 (firmware version 1.33). I have the Photoshop plug in version and am using PS 7.01. When I use GANE the previews look fine, but the final scan is black except for a small grey band along one side. When I use SRD the previews look fine, but the final scan is black. When I scan with SRD and save the scan to a file (tif) instead of to Photoshop it acts like the image was written to the disk and a file entry appears on the PS open file dialog, but when trying to open it the whole system locks up requiring a reboot. After rebooting the saved file no longer appears. The main SF6 manual is not included in the download. The SRD manual that is included in the English version is in German. I downloaded version 6.0.1r10. It doesn't look like it was ready for release yet.

Here is some more info on the problem with GANE and SRD:

I have been trying various settings / filters, etc. in Silverfast on a small section of a 6x4.5 transparency. On that scan the GANE function seems to work fine. I tried a number of scan sizes and determined that any scan that is more than 8191 pixels wide will not work. (8192 is 2 to the 13th power so I assume some kind of bug in the programming) This is unlikely to occur with the standard medium format film carrier, but I have been using the new glass carrier, so can scan the full width of the film. From the looks of the posts here, I don't think the Silverfast folks have a glass carrier yet. I've tried a number of scan lengths and that seems to cause no problems.

Lasersoft,
After reading Jeff's comment, I tried and was able to reproduce the described phenonenon. Strange bug. It would be nice if a fix could be found. (Windows 2000, Athlon 1600XP system, 768 Megs Ram, Polaroid SS120, Firewire connection, Photoshop 7.0.1.)

At Clay's suggestion, I downloaded the latest release for the Polaroid SprintScan 120. 6.01r16 In my trials so far, the problem seems to be fixed. I'll repost if I find out otherwise.
