serious problem with Silverfast 5.5 version 5.5.1r03

As I have received no reply for over three weeks from SilverFast I will try my luck here.

I have found what I think is a serious problem with Silverfast 5.5 version 5.5.1r03 for Umax PowerLook 3000 Macintosh.

There is a poor quality factor with the v5.5.1r03 wavy edges is my greatest concern. After trashing v5.5.1r03 and reinstalling from scratch no difference in quality was noticed but after reinstalling v5.5.0r07 the quality I have come to expect from SF is again noticeable.

Please let me know if the problem is firstly a known issue and secondly when I could expect a fix.
