Hi!
Actually, we do Service Support for Umax scanners in Ukraine. So one of our customers fased the following problem:
In SilverFast, version 5.5.2.r.15 and up to latest release of 5.5 when scanning really big files (for example - A4 document with resolution 1200 dpi, file size is 300 Mb and more), and Color Correction options turned on (doesn't matter - what exactly options - any except <none>), SilverFast returns an ampty image to a program (Photoshop). Just a white box. And in this case scanning process stops almost right after beginning.
If Color Correction options turn off (<none> fo everything) - everything goes fine. Magic Scan also does this job without any problems.
Could you please tell me what to do?
Looking forward for your answer. Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for reply. But I actually mentioned that this fault appears only when Color Correction is turned on. So, if this option is turned off - everything works propely. And Photoshop can handle unlimited file size without any adjustments.
So, this is not a Photoshop problem. Could you please advice me something else?
Thank you very much in advance.

Could you please give me an answer? I have tested with different versions of SilverFast 5.5 and different PowerLook (1120 and 1100) - everywhere the same problem. It is quite urgent case because the customer bought PrePress version of PowerLook exactly because of SilverFast and have found that it is not working properly for his tasks.

I think it would be the best to upgrade to version 6. For upgrade information please contact our sales department at sales@silverfast.de.
