Hi,

I just downloaded the demo for silverfast AI 6.1.d07 and I have a few questions.

In Mac OS 9, I do not get a preview. It seems to be prescanning, then all I see in the Preview window is a dark area. If I click Scan anyways, then it does seem to scan fine.

I tested some color slides and the quality seems like it should be better. I tried playing around with different settings but in general it is about the same. There is a lot of pixelation in the scans. The slides are a little on the dark side, but we have been using MagicScan in OS 9 and have been getting better results. I have posted some cropped portions of my scans to compare so you can see the difference in quality. http://www.sulingwang.com/scansoftware.html The scan done in MagicScan is noticeably smoother. Is there some way to make the settings so I get smoother scans in Silverfast?

I tested it in OS 10.2 and I do see the preview in the preview window. But the image quality of the scans are the same as in OS 9.

Dear Swang.

Please turn off the Auto-contrast automatic in the option parameters.
