Call me Mr Stupid or something if I'm wrong but I can`t find any way to save special options for certain scan circumstances. For instance if I would like to save an option of "Auto Contrast" or "HDR Output" for a certain type of scan job. At the moment if I use "Auto Contrast" for one type of job I always have to remember to switch back.

By the way I have calibrated with the it8 for Transparent and DOR Transparent. Does the software automaticly switch between the apprpriate icc files as it would when switching between Reflective and Transparent?

Using SilverFast 5.5.1R03 it8 for Umax PowerLook 3000.

I think you will find that saving setting for Auto Contrast is a No-No. Remember each image will require differerent end points and curve shape. If you have Auto Contrast engaged then as soon as you click the auto adjustment icon the software determines the opitimum image based upon the values you set in the AutoThreshold and Highlight/Shadow Offset popups.

I think you should find that SilverFast use the corect ICC profile based upon your choice off reflective/transparent.

I'm not sure that I fully understand what you require, but yes it is possible to save certain options as sets and then load those presaved options at any time.

On the main panel you should see a popup labelled {Settings: "Save"} You can use this to save a specific set of SilverFast settings such as the resolution, filter type, scan type. I don't think it extend to Auto Contrast, CMS, Gamma etc but it would be REALLY good if it did.
