Re: sf 8 settings dock
There is a small arrow in the upper right corner which brings the window back in the dock.

Re: sf 8 settings dock
that would be incorrect. i was talking about the panel on the left that contains all the other smaller panels that can be undocked and those can be re-docked by clicking on their little arrows thats true. but not the main panel that contains the smaller ones. i eventually double clicked on the very top of the panel and it re-docked. but thanks for the reply.

Sorry I misunderstood you there.
Good you found that yourself.

Wow, thanks mykal0014
I've spent an hour trying to figure out how to reattach that sucker. Of all of the non-intuitive interfaces, that's gotta be right up there.
Silverfast has a format to removing the Panels from the Dock and re-attaching them, unless they do something different and don't tell you.
Sheesh!
Again thanks for figuring out what I couldn't

I agree, I was caught out with this too and couldn't figure out how to re-dock it and had to leave it floating for a long time until I accidentally double-clicked the drag bar one day and it re-docked. A little re-docking arrow in the drag bar might help perhaps?
