Hello, I have another problem would like to ask your advice.
SilverFast Ai Studio CMS preferences
About color management files, there are many options, such as "SFprofT, SFprofK, none" and so on, they each have what is the difference?
I found in the scan, and sometimes you do not select any color management files but the best.
In addition, I chose "none" when, but when I re-open the software, turn into SFprofT.
I do not know the need to make use IT8 ICC profile and get better results. If necessary, where can I buy? Which one should I buy it?

Re: Scanner color profiles
Dear DMY,
There are individual profiles for each scanner and scan type (transparency(T), reflective(R) and Kodachrome(K)).
Negatives do not use a CMS profile (they use NegaFix profiles) all other scan modes can not work correctly without one.
These settings are set automatically and do not need to be changed unless you want to use a device profile from an external calibration device.
SilverFast Ai Studio can use an IT8 target to create an individual device profile tailored to your device.
The gain in quality depends on how close your individual device is to the standard profile SilverFast installs.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Re: Scanner color profiles
Are you scanning a Kodachrome iamge?
Otherwise the SFprofT... would be the right one.
Selecting none is only possible if you deactivate the entire color management.
this of cause normally does not work very well.
What exactly is the issue?
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Thank you
I used to use the ordinary slides, most Fuji RVP100F.
Do you mean to say, no IT8 case, with the default parameters is the best?

Re: Scanner color profiles
Dear DMY,
Sorry I do no exactly understand your question.
What I wanted to say is that choosing "none" requires disabling the entire color-management.
This is generally a bad choice because it disables many important functions and might result in the loss of colors.
For a standard positive film SFprofT is correct.
Make sure you set the highlights and shadows correctly.
Either use the image auto adjustment or you can do it manually using the pipette tool or in the histogram moving the triangles beneath the curve.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
