Have just installed silverfast 6.6
I have a need to scan black and white film, mostly tri x for optimum results.
The primary purpose of my scans is to take my scans to a bureau to produce
film for an image setter for commercial printing.
Have been advised to set input at 16bit greyscale..360 dpi, the rest in photoshop...
invert the image, levels, curves, unsharp mask..last convert 8bit for the printer.
This is all the information I have.....
any good advice will be much appreciated.
optimum results scanning black and white film please

Dear customer,
Is 360dpi the print quality?
Then you will also have to set the output size to the target size.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

you can also set the output size units to pixel.
This would allow you to adjust the exact output size in pixel (ignoring the resolution).
