NewToSF, Interpolation?Auto Off? Highr Opticl res w/ Flatbd?
I don't understand the Interpolation Option choices. I have been getting jagged edges in my images when I look at them at 100 and 200% in Photoshop. Can anyone explain the Anti-Aliasing vs. SF Standard choices in the Option/General table? With Flatbeds and AI 6, how can I make sure that Auto settings are turned off. This is very unclear in the manual. Also, I'm using a Heidelberg Opal, and I wonder if there is a certain way to insure that I'm not interpolating with the software, but getting the highest Optical res of the scanner. Is there also a way to distinguish with a scanner that has a larger normal res, and a smaller long swatch of the bed for High res? Thanks for any suggestions. Jon

The auto function are off by default, and only used, if you click on them. The sharpness is on auto, this you need to change.
The optical resolution could be set, by moving the slider. This steps from one optical resolution to another. The scale should be 100% in this case.
The antialiasing should be used, if the standart interpolarisation causes problems. The best choise is to use the optical resolution.
kind regards
