it8 calibration "select reference file"

Hello,
I am having problems calibrating my scanner.
I have a microtek 1800f, using the software(silverfast ai) and kodak q60e1 target that came with the scanner.

Everything is step by step as per the manual. until I get a microsoft window that says "select reference file" at the top and gives folder options, with an open button and a cancel button. I think the problem is the silverfast is not recognizing the kodak it8.

As you can tell I am computer illiterate, so please explain it to me like I am a third grader.

read the INDEX.TXT file for how to find your file and then download it to any directory and then point the calibration utility to it when find file window pops up.
