How to "move" prefrences / settings?

Hi together,
how do ich move or reintegrate the film settings of silverfast 6?
I installed silverfast under Win2K and changed the OS to WinXP Prof. I made about 40 different settings of films. It would a complex job to make the settings new.
Where are the settings saved? Can I just copy the settings to the new folder under XP?

Sehr geehrter Stefan,

auf beiden Betriebssystemen (2k und XP) befinden sich diese Einstellungen im selben Verzeichnis:
C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\Anwender\Anwendungsdaten\Lasersoft Imaging\SilverFast

Der Anwendungsdaten Ordner ist allerdings ein Systemordner der gegebenenfalls erst noch über die Optionen des Dateibrowsers sichtbar gemacht werden muss.

Dear customer,

On both operating systems the settings are located in the dsame folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\[your username]\Application Data\ Lasersoft Imaging\


If you haven't yet changed the standard setting of the Windows Explorer you won't see any folder "Application Data". You then want to open the folder options dialogue (from "Extras" the menu) and go to the "View" tab. There you can enable the Explorer to show you all file (incl. hidden and system files and folders).

Hi thanks for that, but it looks like the indications are given for window (drive C:).

How about for a Mac?

On a Mac the folder is located in:
[your homefolder]/Library/Preferences/LaserSoft Imaging.
