Thanks for this great post. Let me ask one question before. When you say slides, which emulsions?

Dear Bob, first of all my apologies for not participating in your thread. I am not even going to start giving all kinds of reasons and excuses. Just one note is important though. I wouldn?t draw a quick coherence or indication to the overall work situation/culture at LSI just because we did not repl...

Dear Sanking. There are technical and business related issues to your question. In any case we would need access to such a scanner in order to evaluate whether it is technically possible to realize a SilverFast version for this scanner. If we do get access to the scanner there is a 50% chance that i...

Dear Predstone,

quick question to help me understand. Are the blownout highlights in the negative or the positive result. I am trying to determine whether the areas you are looking at from the scan are black or "transparent" in the original.

Dear Tatami.

That's definitly not a common issue. I am not sure what the reason for that is. Could be a faulty ICC-Profile. Can you try deactivating the profile created under CMS options ? Is the preview still black ?

Dear Ashok,

this scanner is currently not supported by SilverFast. To be honest I wasn't aware that this scanner even exists.

Dear Paul.

DNG reading is supported. I don't see support for Hasselblad 3F Raw format in the near future.

Dear nmetzner, could you send us the SF_logfile along with a detailed step-by-step description via email to support-at-silverfast.de in order to get a solution to this. We need to check under the same conditions in order to verify your problem in our test condition. Problem number 2 is actually a fe...

Dear Ruth, switiching Neagfix off is included already by choosing <Linear> from the "ASA/ISO" dropdown menu in negafix dialogue. Choosing a linear "correction" is just as if Negafix was switched off. Negafix is essential for the eoptimization of negative scans since it compensate...

Dear womanmarine,

you could just scan in positive mode to Photoshop and hit command + i (invert) or choose <Linear> from the "ASA/ISO" pulldown menu in negafix dialogue.

DNG is on the top of my wishlist too.

Best,

Dear Felix. Anything older than SilverFast 6.5x is not compatible under Photoshop CS3. Support for PS CS3 was implemented in version 6.5. So this is not a bug or an error yet actually expected. This is due to the fact that PS switched to native support with CS3. You will need to upgrade to SilverFas...
