Re: HDRi iSRD Kodachrome Win 7/64 Coolscan V ED

Dear glup, thanks for your open words and your constructive criticism although not all conclusions drawn are valid. Re: your question. So the question from professional to professional remains clearly: when will HDRi and iSRD be available on Windows? Please understand that we will NOT discuss concre...

Re: New Pricing

Dear DJ, really good question. My rational side suggests that we plan to keep offering support for these scanners for as long as we can. See the "high-end" is where SilverFast first started, that's where the core of SilverFast is coming from. So we feel a certain obligation to continue sup...

Re: Silverfast Support for the 5400 II

Dear Kelly,

yes, perhaps that would help. With the appropriate technical documentation we would be able to realize access to IR channel as well as implemtation of HDRi 64bit.

Re: Blue cast

Dear Amber,

sure, but first I will need a little bit more information. Are you scanning negs or slides, kodachromes ? Which scanner are you working with and which SilverFast version are you using, SE or Ai? It can be helpful if you upload a sample of the suboptimal results.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Silverfast Support for the 5400 II

Dear Kelly, we certainly don't intend to leave anybody feeling abandoned. We plan to include a new Ektar 100 Negafix profile with these scanners and also the new auto-sharpening feature anytime soon but I wouldn't hold my hopes too high on the Win7even support with the Minoltas. I'm really sorry but...

Re: Scan Quality

Dear nickc, usually scanresults from a dedicated filmscanner are superior to those from a flatbed scanner + transparency unit. If the results from your flatbed are better then I strongly suspect there may be a hardware problem. The image looks as if the CCD calibration is faulty. Sorry for not being...

Re: SFfr-6.6.0r1, Batch don't work

Hi comdico, sorry for pitchin' in kind of late.. So far so good. What becomes a huge pain is if I want to edit each frame separately, and this is where Silverfast bogs down. I need to create each preview one by one. It would be so much easier if I could instead batch process all the previews at once...

Re: need help after it8 calibration

cjmorgana, you are correct, the profile that now shows in the ICC Profiles - Scanner Reflective is the profile that SF IT8 calibration created. We will save the profile in the correct location automatically in order to prevent prblems with the profile. All our profiles are named "SF_....."...

Re: How to scan dental X rays

dear starastar,

are you aware that there is a dedicated SilverFast X-ray for scanning xrays.

Scanning xrays is pretty special and therefore we came up with a special version tha has all the necessary settings implemented and a pretty neat xray automatic 8) .

Johannes, you are correct, each holder is identified by the scanner through the barcode on the holder. The firmware of the scanner will then offer a fixed subset of formats accoding to the barcode. These formats are defined by the firmware of the scanner and we have no influence on this. We can simp...

Dear cassius,

we are currently not planning to implement ME for this scanner. Please note that implementing the ME feature is connected to some technical factors which can not be fulfilled by all drivers and hardware.

Best,

JAN
