Dear John K.

Click on the mask icon in the SRD dialog or the selective color correction dialog and hold the mouse button down for at least one second. Then a popup will come up where you can select the mask type.

Dear chender33. I believe that you have changed the "Scan Type" in SilverFast to 48 Bit HDR Color or 16 Bit HDR Grayscale. In this case images in Jpeg files are compressed to 12 bit Jpeg. 12 bit JPeg is a legal and documented file format, but there are not many applications which can open these file...

You can use SilverFast DC, HDR or DCPro to remove dust and scratches. This is the same implementation as you can find in your microtek scanner plugin.

Dear Thierry. If you have purchased SilverFast, you are entitled to download SilverFast within the same major release for all available platforms (Mac OS9/OSX, Win 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP) for free. Please go to the "General" panel inside the main dialog. The popup "Scan Mode" is possibly set to "Normal (File)". Switch to "Normal" and you will get your scans imported into PhotoShop directly.

Dear Markster.

You are right.
SilverFast HDR Studio and SilverFast DCPro are members of different product families, but do offer the same functionality.
Visible differences are the default values for gamma and USM, but both values can be changed.
