I'm scanning thousands of slides, close to a thousend in so far. I've been scanning 64-Bit HDRi to TIFF files. Does scanning to DNG offer any advantages that I should consider, possibly re-scan? The goal is to have archival copies.

I bought the Epson V800 Photo scanner that came with SilverFast SE 8. The included Epson software does a pretty decent job of scanning 12 slides at a time and applying digital ICE.
