"usually" the reason for this "problem" is that the Apple Quicktime Player isn't installed to your system. Can this be the case on your system?

Dear Harald be sure to set your magazine settings (via icon on vertical button bar of the preview window) correctly, then go to SilverFast's main control window. On the general tab, you select "Batch" mode and check if the "Original" option changes to "Document feeder"....
