Re: SilverFast 8 - Mac OS X - drivers

Hi there Ok, so does that mean that (read slowly here) both the newer and older frameworks folder contains both the older version of the driver that 6.6 uses, and a new updated driver branch, and it's two different versions of the new driver branch that we are trying to change here? No, the new fram...

Re: Lion on Microtek M1 Pro and 900

Hi there,

Please bear in mind that the Microtek 9800XL and the 9800XL Plus are two different scanners.
If you have the former 9800XL (no Plus) contact Microtek for further information

Re: Not able to scan b+w negative

Hi there, HDR Studio is not a scanning application. You can not control any scanner with it. Its primary purpose is image editing, especially HDR/HDRi images created with SilverFast Ai Studio which is the actual scanning application. If you are interested in controlling the Epson Perfection V600 ple...

Re: What is the correct ICM settings for use with NegaFix?

Hi there

IMPORTANT.

We have added color matching to our latest version of SilverFast 8 for NegaFix. This allows you now to set a target RGB profile and will be internally converted. You should not however forget all NegaFix profiles have been created in Adobe RGB profile.

Re: Nikon 9000ED and Silverfast ver 8

Hi there, I believe you have some value out of control in the SRD filter. Please reset the software using the "Service Dialog" on the lower left corner of the Welcome screen. After a reset of the software make a new scan and add filters slowly until you detect which one is creating this ef...

Hi there,

There is a book on its way to publication, it should be around in the course of this month (April 2012) or at the latest next month.

Re: SilverFast 8 - Mac OS X - drivers

Hi guys, We have found a 32-bit-framework. IMPORTANT There is a set of things to mention here that you gotta keep in mind: - Some of the problems listed here might be solved using the 32-bit-framework, however other issues might appear. The combination 32-bit-framework + SilverFast 8 is not tested. ...

Re: SilverFast 8 - Mac OS X - drivers

Hi there Obvious, the SRD-distortion is unacceptable :( - idea: Let the default parameter-values depend on the dpi-setting.Alternative idea: Let the default parameter-values be "no correction". You are scanning at a very low resolution. These are relative values with the deffect detection ...

Re: SilverFast 8 - Mac OS X - drivers

Hi there, Reinstalled the folders from my own 3 days older backup via Time Machine (because Plustek did not offer them). Set Silverfast 8 to run in 32 bit mode: get info on /Applications/SilverFast Application/SilverFast 8/SilverFast 8.app - checkbox in info's general section These are the older fra...

Re: CM Input Profile Keeps Changing Back To 'None'

Hi Pixman it's just that the profile itself for Fuji Pro 160S and the one for Kodak Ektar make the colours look weak but other profiles in the NegaFix set up don't. Because of the many steps involved in the negative process is more complicated to reproduce accurate colors. You have many variables li...

Re: Navigation Window & iSRD

Hi there,

right now is not possible. The idea behind this is to make navigation in different picture areas obvious for inexperienced users.

I have filled a feature request with this topic which might be considered for future versions of SilverFast.

Thanks for your contribution

Kind regards
