Re: my .jpeg files cannot be imported in iPhoto

Dear Michele,

there is one other setting that could render our jpegs unusable in iPhoto and most other applications.
This is when you do a 48Bit Scan that is ment to use with our SilverFast HDR Software. But if you woud have created an 48Bit jpeg it would not be opened in preview either.

Re: my .jpeg files cannot be imported in iPhoto

Dear Michelle,

is it possible that you safe th files as jpeg 2000 rather than jpg ?

This would cause the described behavior as iPhoto does not support jpeg 2000 but normal jpeg files should be accepted by iPhoto.

Re: Ektar 100 NegaFix Profile for Epson/Nikon Scanners Only?

Dear Users,

it will take some time as we need to create this profiles manually for every scanner but we do plan to implement this profile for other Scanners as well.
At the current stage I can not give any accurate date when we will release it.

Re: Installing Scanner & Silverfast in Windows 7 64b

Dear Customer, basically Windows 7 64Bit and the Plustek 7500i should work fine together if you have installed the current Plustek driver for the Scaner from http://www.plustek.com and the latest version of SilverFast from our Website. The Documentation absolutely right when pointing out that the Sc...

Re: SilverFast Ai Saved image does not match preview window view

Sure enough, when I loaded the scanned image in to Photoshop it complained there was no embedded profile and asked me what to do, confirming the same. So I rechecked my CMS Options in SF and sure enough "Embed ICC profile" was unticked. I enabled this option and did another endscan. The i...

Re: Ektar 100 NegaFix Profile for Epson/Nikon Scanners Only?

Dear Customer,

you are right currently this profile is only available for Epson an Nikon Scanners.

When you have another Scanner you would have to use a generic profile and tweak it in the expert mode.

Re: Cannot open SF Ai 6.6.1r5

Hi, would say thid problem must be related to some autostart item that somehow messes up your homefolder or the file permissions are wrong. SilverFast just creates the folder /library/preferences/LaserSoft Imaging into your homefolder when it starts up for the first time and uses this as place to st...

Re: Setting all frames to same resolution in batch

Dear catman915,

there is more than one way to achieve what you want,
you can save a frame and use this as new default frame(just select this in the settings) or you can copy the current resolution to all frames,
this setting is behind the find frames button.

Dear Flash,

simply download the language that suits you best and install it, you would not need to delete SilverFast beforehand it will be replaced by the new version.

Dear Customer,

the Plustek 7600 does not feature a Manual Focus.
The Button is just present when the Scanner has this feature.
