Setup (resolution, QF, etc.) gets lost

We use HDR 6.5 but we have had that problem before:
The programm is losing the setup information in the scanning window.
Deleting the the setupfiles in the useraccounts does not help, nor a uninstall and reinstall.
Silverfast is running as an Photoshop plug in on Windows XP

"Proofing RGB data in a simulated CMYK preview"

I just read about the new Silverfast Photo Proof and think it might help us with the colour shift problem when changing from RGB to CMYK. We do have a RGB workflow with the ECI-RGB profile. The RGB data is converted in the Creo RIP of our printer to CMYK Euroscale coated but there happen ugly colour...

lost presets

I like to maintain my presets, like don't sharpen etc. But they get lost when I delete a directory and HDR is not able to reload the previous photo. Then it loads the Silverfast pyramid photo and I have to adjust the setting for every photo I am working on. I have no clou how to "save" my presets. C...

IT-8 Ektachrome, Elite Chrome??

I am using HDR and calibrated with the Ektachrome Professional IT-8 target. But most of our slides are "Kodak Elite Chrome 200".
Are there existing Elite targets or would it be o.k. to use the Ektachrome Professional target?

not implemented

Wouldn?t it be possible to write a Photoshop CS script to get this function? When I have a job, let's say 150 raw scans in one folder. The way it works now I have the "open file" dialog, and then I have to scroll to, e.g. file no. 132. But before I have to remember the number of the last finished ph...

When I install the new Version 6.2 in the Silverfast directory, HDR runs.
But I need HDR as a Photoshop plug-in.

I just received AI 6 for the Nikon 5000. And I have to get the system running. I deinstalled Nikon Scan, I installed a older Version of HDR (61r16), but I still get an error when I start HDR. The old HDR without the virtuell light table should work. Something on my system is bend. What do do? Michae...

HDR crashes Photoshop 7.01 Windows

Photoshop has a problem with HDR 6.1.0r8 as a plug in, which I just downloaded. PS is quitting as soon as I try to open it. AI and Nikon Scan 4.0 works fine. I would like to send you the protocol file from PS, but I don't know where PS dump them on the drive. I spend already half of the day to get i...

new 5000 ED and "old" Silverfast

I would really like to order the new Nikon scanner right away. Could I use it with my Silverfast 6 for LS 4000?

magenta color shift (ED 4000)

I noticed for a long time a colorshift with Kodak slides toward magenta. Now, after setting up IT-9 calibration with the Kodak target - I still have that little magenta touch in quite a few of my scans. Do other people from this forum have the same experience? Is it quite "normal" that this happens ...

how to avoid autoexposure

some of my dias are underexposed. e.g. there is a dark ocean view, all very dark blue and grey just the top of the waves are shining white. This kind of slide is scanned in even more underexposed. My workaround to get a better scan is to put the lamp on maximum. Isnt there a way to manipulate the ex...
