Gamma confusion

Hello, as I've not used Silverfast since a few years (after having switched to digital) and now, that harddrives became so cheap, thought about transfering several thousand slides to the digital world using a LS5000 Scanner with slidefeeder. I upgraded to the SilverFast Archive Suite and my idea was...

Dear Gregory C, I doubt this, because Nikonscan works really perfect in this respect now and SF not at all. Silverfast Support proved absolutely resistant to any complaints in this matter. I feel that they simply do not have a clue how to make this feature work and are too ashamed to finally admit t...

Hello, this problem persists since I began using SF years ago. The problem is, that the initial reading of a longer filmstrip is so inconsistent, that often it's necessary to prescan and correct the offset of every single frame. Often, however in the middle or somewhere doing this stupid work SF for...

Filmstrip feeder SA30 still unusable with Silverfast...

Hello, after having given up to use the SA30 with my LS4000 because Silverfast never found the right borders of more than 50% of the slides of one strip I was hoping that the upgrade to LS5000 with the Silverfast for LS5000 would maybe solve this issue as well.... The offset tool does still not real...

Dear Ian, I can only speak as a Fuji S2Pro user and even when using the "Embedded Profile" the images come out completely useless. If I would not use the Fuji EX as a comparison, where the same files look great, I'd probably conclude, that my camera is dead but so all I can say is that DCPro does no...

Dear Ian, I'd happily post an excuse for this message which I wrote in quite a frustration (because of the new version). The first version of DCPro I tried was beginning of September. I wrote a message about problems with the Fuji S2 Profiles without much response from Lasersoft. Months (!!!) later ...

Is the big improvement the fact, that the profile for the S2Pro is now missing completely because Lasersoft could not create a decent one? Again, the pictures from the S2Pro come out as total crap.... Sorry to say, this again was a waste of time for me and I think I'll give up on it. Maybe it's all ...

Dear Nils, please do not get me wrong. I'm a long-time enthusiastic Silverfast user for my Nikon LS-4000, having bought the full palette of options plus HDR. Be sure, that I buy the DC-version as soon as you offer a preview that matches the original Fuji-converter in quality. The additional options ...

Dear Niels, no, unfortunately not at all. Pictures still have an ugly colorcast (different than before). The Fuji profile is now reported as embedded in the CMS-tab. I'm quite sure that this is the problem reported by Grappa as "gray images". The album-preview looks fine as long as the picturte is "...

Problem with Fuji Raw images

Hello, a few days ago I downloaded the trial version of DCPro. However I cannot get it really to work on my files from a Finepix S2Pro: In the preview the images always look terrible (no highlights, no blacks) and if I look in the histogram I see that only about 100 out of 256 levels are used for ea...

I tried all possible varieties to use the filmstrip positioning utility. In fact I'm considering to buy the SA-30 adapter for my LS-4000 but as long as this does not work.... Right now I find this function to be the most ridiculous and useless dummy function I ever saw in a program....;-) I cannot u...

At least I'm quite happy to read that it's not just me who is having the problem. I was having an e-mail conversation about this with Lasersoft support. This "conversation" was dealt with on a "level" and style by Lasersoft that I have strong doubts about the reliability of Lasersofts support organi...
