Thanks for the reply. I am giving photoshop 1.2G's of ram. At 1000 DPI the program works fine on my system as well. Try scanning at optical 2571 using a 4x5 negative using 48bit color. This is where SF6 hangs and crashes. My previous version of SF5 worked fine with these settings...

When I attempt to scan a 4x5 sheet of film using 48bit color the program and computer crash within seconds! Scanning at 42bit works fine. I am also unable to use SF_App as a stand alone program. I get the message that my scanner is not being recognized. I have run Norton Utilities- no problems found...
