Same situation here...
Same for me. Installed latest demo and scanner not found, both USB and firewire. I've 10.2 and the latest epson driver that works perfectly with both firewire and USB. Only way to try the software was restarting in OS 9.2.2 and use only USB. Firewire seems broken even in OS9... very sad, as I really...
