Canon 9950F Windows 7 64 bit

Are you saying that LaserSoft has given up on providing a Windows 7 64 bit software for this scanner? There was previously talk of a total rewrite to make it compatible.... By locking the previous topic of this discussion is LaserSoft saying it no longer wants to discuss the issue? Do you no longer ...

Re: Canon 9950F Windows 7 64 bit

Thank you for your prompt reply. This is encouraging news. Is there a target or projection date when the new software might be available? At this point time has become a critical issue. And as to the question posed in my previous post will there be any special offerings for migration to a different ...

Re: Canon 9950F Windows 7 64 bit

I would like to revisit the last posts of this thread. It is now December 2010 and there has been no sign of support for Windows 7 64-bit for the Canon 9950f. If there is no intention or probability that this scanner will ever be supported in this OS please just say so. I understand that your develo...

Re: iSRD doesn't work properly

Nils, I posted last week, but it doesn't seem to have made it online. On your two points from your previous post: * I always us the negative holders. * Contrast doesn't seem to be a factor, but perhaps I just haven't noticed it with lower contrast negatives. I have installed the latest update 660r4e...

Re: iSRD doesn't work properly

Yes, that is exactly what appears to be happening. Any idea what is causing this? Is there anything I can do or is it a software glitch?
Thanks...

Re: iSRD doesn't work properly

Thomas, Thank you for the prompt reply. I am using the CanoScan 9950F and Silverfast SE Plus 6.6.0r4d. I have done a screen capture of the problem and I will try to insert it here. I assume I use the "Img" button above. The captured screen image is from the iSRD screen. You will see the wh...

Re: iSRD doesn't work properly

Hello, Thanks for the prompt reply. I just downloaded and installed the update then did a test scan. Sadly, the problem seems even worse, the corrections appear to be offset even further than before. The higher the resolution of the scan the worse the problem. Was this specifically addressed in this...

iSRD doesn't work properly

I'm using Silverfast SE Plus 6.6 with CanoScan 9950F. When I use iSRD it properly identifies the dust particles, but the applied fix is offset such that it has no effect. I first noticed that iSRD had no effect. Checking a little closer I noticed that after the preview scan and auto button I clicked...

ScanPilot Locks Program

Hi, I recently purchased SilverFast SE Plus. It installed fine and everything seems to work, but when I press the ScanPilot button the entire program begins flashing rapidly (like a screen rewrite?) and becomes unresponsive. Running Windows XP Home with AMD Athlon XP 2200+ CPU and 512 MB RAM. Thanks

Old Kodak B&W Negatives

I am embarking on a project to scan all my old (most 40-50+ years old) negatives. About all I know is they are Kodak negatives. What is the best profile to use for this old film? Also, is there a recommended method to get the best scans from these negatives?
Thanks
