Descreening
Dear customers, at first, I beg your pardon if the showcase might have misleaded you. The full automatic descreening is within the Ai Studio only. The Ai has a half automatic. Since August 2005 the new descreening allows higher input dpi values (although I recommend 600dpi as best input res.) and sc...

Descreening
Dear Albert Klee, it's absolutely not common that a descreen scan needs so much time at a file size of about 10MB. This usually needs 30sec. max. Please do a support request by email and report all your settings like input and output resolution, scaling etc., we will help you. But please hold in min...

Descreening
Dear Customers,
well , the new descreening is not available on OS9.
On OSX an altivec optimization is used which should speed
up the descreening if you have a modern Mac.
Best wishes,

Microtek&Descreening
Dear Customers, there were several issues with Microtek Scanners in the past, which did force us to increase scan resolution internally to avoid some "line drop out" effects. This issue does not occour any longer with most recent Microtek drivers and the workaround we took will be took back in a nex...

Descreening
Dear Mr. Wirleitner, the descreening currently operates on scans of at least 600dpi, as this is a native scanner resolution and a save oversampling factor. With both these "security" values we are able to avoid moir? in any cases. The descreen filter is not separable and already SSE/Altivec optimize...

Descreening
Well, the detection of the screen frequency works well on half toned images in homogene areas (without image details or edges) of a mid tone luminance. Of course it works on half toned (screened) images only! The descreening itself will be applied AFTER scanning, so there is no preview in the presca...
