Yes, you are right
First you have to choose the resolution of the final scan - then you open SRD and do your corrections and afterwards start the final scan. Don?t change the resolution after your work in SRD.

Everything worked fine.

Yes SilverFast also supports the second lens in Heidelberg Saphir HiRes and LinoScan 1800. HiRes means high resolution area and therefore the 2nd lens is needed.
Please download a demo version and try it out.
