Re: Canon 9950F Windows 7 64 bit

The Canon 9950 is listed as "available in next phase" for Siverfast 8. Does this mean there is now a different situation whereby the driver can be supported? If so, is there an expected time frame? ... Or could this add up to long waits and wishful thinking as in the past? Regards, Murray

Canon 9950F?

Is v6.5 available for the Canon 9950F? If not, is there a time frame for this?

That's the other way of doing it, RAG. I prefer to use Job Manager because you can save the jobs and rerun them if anything goes wrong. I also use saved frame sets to start from a default set of marquees and settings. You can potentially use Job Manager for "automated" scanning without even botherin...

JW

With Silverfast AI or AI Studio you can use Job Manager for batch scanning. You can even scan different versions of the same slide. Check it out in the videos (run them from your PC, not the web) and the online manuals.

Test results with the Canon 9950F should become available this week. Jan Are the Canon 9950F results available yet? If so are they posted anywhere or is it a case of waiting for the next newsletter? Also, will there any more detailed information available anywhere without having to pay for it as wi...

Jan Thank you for your response to my query. I did find it somewhat disconcerting though, that the link you pointed me to requested that I pay 75 units of an unknown currency (Swiss Francs perhaps?) before I could read anything. Is there any further free information available? (At the very least it ...

Dynamic Range Increase with Multi-Sampling

In the most recent newsletter there is an item that says that AI Studio multi sampling increases DMax from 2.9 to 3.43 for a Nikon LS5000, from 3.06 to 3.33 for an Epson 4990 and from 2.75 to 3.56 for an Epson 3200. How many passes is this at? Is there more information on this somewhere? Were other ...

"AACO prevents and enhance the colors in the dark tones" Is there a word missing here? OK, it enhances the colours in the dark tones but what does it prevent? If it enhances the colours in the dark tones beyond what you can achieve with curves then does that mean that it does effectively increase th...

Question abour AACO

The new Auto Adaptive Contrast Optimisation feature in AI Studio provides an easy way to enhance contrast. You can also modify contrast with curves, including the highlights and shadows sliders. Does AACO do anything that yoiu can't already do manually? Does it offer improved sensitivity or does it ...
