Re: Resolution Problem with SF-8.5.0r5(HDR)_x64

Arne

It may work fine on the Mac, but I am using the Windows Verizon! Do you have Windows 7 64 bit version that you can check out?

Re: Resolution Problem with SF-8.5.0r5(HDR)_x64

Arne The Plustek 120 version of SF-8.5.0r5 appears to work differently than you have described. The Preset PPI window, the Expert Settings Zoom and the Resolution slider settings are interrelated and locked together. The maximum number that I can enter in the Preset ppi window is 999. When I try to ...

Re: Resolution Problem with SF-8.5.0r5(HDR)_x64

Arne I did not make myself clear in the original email. When I use the Plustek 120 in the Workflow Pilot mode to make HDR files, there is NO problem getting SF HDR Studio to start with the same resolution as I scanned the image in SF 8.5,0r5. However, if I do not use the Workflow Pilot to output a 4...

Plustec 8200i Preset Problems with SF-8.5.0r4

Capture4.PNG How can I get the Preset ppi window to follow the resolution setting when NOT using the Workflowpilot? It seems to default to 300 ppi. When I manually try to enter the same number as the selected resolution the largest number I can enter is 999! If I use the Workflowpilot, the Preset f...

Resolution Problem with SF-8.5.0r5(HDR)_x64

I use SF-8.5-Studio with a Plustek 120 and 8200i film scanners. When I try to save 48 bit HDR or 64 bit HDR archive files in either dng or TIFF formats the files are tagged with the wrong resolution when opened in SF-8.5.0r5(HDR)_x64! The problem appears to be connected to what the Preset setting is...

Re: Plustek 120 SF-8.5.0r4 35 mm JobManager Help?

Arne Is there a update planned for the SF-JM-en.pdf JobManager help file to cover its use with the Plustek 120 35 mm holders? The current one has nothing that applies to the Plustek 120. Right now the only way I can get repeatable JobManager results is to do a Software Reset before I start using the...

Re: Plustek 120 SF-8.5.0r4 35 mm Overview Help?

I am having trouble figuring out how to use JobManager to batch scan multiple frames with the Plustek 35 mm film strip holder. (I have no problem doing a manual scan of a single frame.) When I use the Overview window Add Selection button to transfer selected frames to the JobManager, it does not tra...

SilverFast Beginner?

I have been a Silverfast user since 1997 but I am still listed on this forum as a Silverfast Beginner! Any chance of getting a "higher" rating?

Re: Plustek 120 SF-8.5.0r4 35 mm Overview Help?

Arne, thanks for the quick reply. Is there any way to save the Plustek 120 35 mm film strip horizontal offset settings? My Plustek 120 film strip holder needs four or five offset clicks for every frame. Right now I have to do this for every scan. Are there any plans to provide a Windows help file fo...

Re: Plustek 120 SF-8.5.0r4 35 mm Overview Help?

Thanks for the quick reply Arne. Now a few more questions about the use of the Overview window: 1. Is there a way to save the frame horizontal offsets so these can be recalled for later use? My Plustek 120 needs 4 to 5 clicks of the left arrow for all 35 mm frames. Now I have to manually add the off...

Plustek 120 SF-8.5.0r4 35 mm Overview Help?

After downloading the latest SF-8.5.0r4 software I found that several problems with the original version had been corrected so that I could use the Plustek 120 to scan 35 mm filmstrips. However I need to know where I can find a help file that explains how to use the new Overview features. Especially...

Re: 4x5 B&W Negative scans

I think you will find that the Epson Perfection 3200 Photo, with Silverfast, will make a very good film scanner. Especially with medium and larger format film sizes. I have used an Epson 10000XL for scanning 120 and 4 by 5 negatives, both color and black and white, for several years. The 3200 uses t...

When Will Photoshop CS5 64 bit be Supported?

It is Match 10, 2011. I just downloaded the lastest version of the Photoshop stand-alone Silverfast 6.6 for use with CS5 64 bit and my Epson XL10000 scanner. There is still NOT way to directly import the Silverfast scan into Photoshop CS5-64! I am running Win7 64 bit and use Adobe Production Pro CS5...

SF 6.6.04c Kodachrome IT8 Cal Probs on 10000XL

Guys After receiving the new 35 mm Kodachrome IT8 Calibration target and updating to Silverfast 6.6.04c, I thought I would pass on the following obversations. 1. My computer is a Dell 690 Work Station running WinXP Pro. I use Photoshop CS4. 2. The automatic calibration feature is unable to find the ...

Re: Vista x64 Status?

Thomas - I strongly agree with JL's post above! My two workstations I use for professional photography are running Vista 64-bit and run 64-bit Photoshop CS3. I have a third WinXP 32-bit computer so I can use Silverfast 6.6 with my negatives on my Epson 10000XL Photo scanner. A real pain in the arse!...
