Re: Silverfast 8 for Minolta 5400 and 5400II

How does the demo work? Is it time based or unlimited with a watermark? I'd like to try it out before buying, but at the same time I don't have a lot of time to spend on it this week. I don't want to run out of the demo before really getting to run it through the paces, but I am anxious to try the n...

Re: Silverfast 8 for Minolta 5400 and 5400II

Any more news on 8 support for 5400? I just won an auction for one last week and I want to drive it with the Silverfast. Also is it possible to get an upgrade price if I already have 6.6 for the v750?

Re: Selective Color Correction issues

In my scanning session this weekend I tried to further troubleshoot my problem. I reset the preferences again and when I made another scan I forgot to set the dpi slider to 6400 dpi. I discovered that my mask selections "took" at lower resolutions upon final scanning. I did a series of tes...

Re: Selective Color Correction issues

I have included some more scans that I hope further illustrates my issue. As you can see I made a selection mask within the color selection tool. I made an extreme adjustment within the mask that can clearly be seen. Once I make the scan it's as if the color adjustment was made globally to the entir...

Re: Selective Color Correction issues

Thanks for the response. I am using Photoshop to view theses images, but unless I am mistaken regardless of the working profile I have set I feel my problem is independent of that. In the above examples the scan were both viewed in Photoshop under the same working color settings. I used the selectiv...

Re: Kodachrome

Right on. I guess it makes sense to go ahead and order the Kodachrome target. Thanks for the needed nudge.

Kodachrome

Now that Silverfast has a nice solution for scanning Kodachrome how much further benefit would I see by doing a calibration with an Kodachrome IT8 target?

Selective Color Correction issues

Hello, I have the Epson v750 and have had it for quite a while. All this time I've been using Epson Scan and get pretty decent results, until I started scanning some Kodachrome slides. I decided I wanted to install Silverfast for the Kodachrome feature, but I could not find the disk that shipped wit...
