Re: Batch Process - Save file with same name...
Good evening, I observe that with SF HDR 8.2 saving the processed files with their original name is indeed possible, provided the index function is not activated. Access to this flag is given in the GUI that appears prior the job actually starts. However, why is SF8 accepting 16 original names and t...

DANKE !! Was mich in grosser...

Parameter transfer using job manager and file naming
Good evening, in the above post, http://forum.silverfast.com/nikon-9000ed-no-previews-and-adf-problems-t9856-15.html#p33891 I reported about the observation made with SF HDR Studio release < 19, in which the transfer of parameters was not taking place correctly, when using the job manager. With SF8 ...

Re: Questions regarding Silverfast 8 (and Nikon V ED)
It is important to say that as of (maybe even before) SF8r16 the offset tool is available and working for use with a Nikon 9000 scanner. Thank you Folks !! Regards, Philippe

Re: SilverFast 8 Batch Scan/ ADF Scan
Hello Everybody, I'd like to add my two pennies on batch and ADF issues. With SF6 hdr it is conveniently possible to batch treat series of files that have been acquire with a scanner separately. The job manager (JM) allows you to preview each image, adjust all necessary parameters related to that fi...

Re: Nikon 9000ED no previews and ADF problems
Good afternoon Arne, Please find a viewgraph that illustrates what I said this morning. Not all the parameters that were defined on ONE picture can be transferred properly to a series of pictures loaded in the job manager. With picture ONE selected I first COPY all the parameter, then, following the...

Re: Nikon 9000ED no previews and ADF problems
Good evening Arne and Colleagues, yes, r17 comes WITH IMPROVEMENTS, thank you. - no anymore need to toggle "CCR" when looking at "foreign files" from SF6 to actualize preview and treat file correctly - 16 bits files open, preview and treated OK -32 bits files open, preview OK, bu...

Re: Nikon 9000ED no previews and ADF problems
Good evening Arne, and tank you for your reply. From your answer, I conclude that you agree with the fact that there is a problem loading 16/32 bits files in SF8. Now can you please comment on the other point (in red in my table) ? Is there a problem for SF8 hdr to load a 64b file produced by a scan...

Re: Nikon 9000ED no previews and ADF problems
Hello Everybody, something more about the workaround mentioned above: the concept of having archive files (3 x 16 bits RGB + IR) called 64hdr files in the SF nomenclature is appealing to many of us confronted with ARCHIVING material in the best possible quality. The same with 48hdr files (funny name...

Re: Nikon 9000ED no previews and ADF problems
I Uuse r16 of SF 8 and a Nikon 9000 and also observe the ADF issue mentioned above. One workaround for using the ADF is to scan raw = 48b HDR or (raw + IR files) = 64b files on your disk and use (provided you have a license) HDR SF6.x version to treat those files. There, batch treatment works in a s...

Re: Questions regarding Silverfast 8 (and Nikon V ED)
Good evening Arne, You said that the strip offset tool is back in the latest (test) version, 8.0.1.r5 as of Feb 3, 2012. I have downloaded this code, and DID NOT SEE THAT TOOL. Sorry to insist, but using the Nikon 9000 it appears essential to be able to fine tune the strip position. Otherwise, there...
