If I only scan negatives would there be any gain from upgrading my Silverfast SE w/HDR to IT8 calibration? The iSRD default seems to be "12". However, I am going through a large number of heavily damaged negatives and really just need to set "20" each time. Is there some way to make this the default setting?

Thanks. I realised that ICE does not work with b/w-pictures - and that's why the option is "greyed" out on my scanner. LOL!
