I have just purchased my first scanner ever, a PrimeFilmXA scanner and started with the CyberView software. I then installed the supplied SilverFast SE which does seem to produce better results. What I am now trying to understand is now to scan a strip of five negative frames as batch. Is this is what is called 'Automatic Frame Detection'? And also called 'Batch Scanning'? Or is this 'Job manager'? Is this available in SE or only in SE Plus (and other more expensive versions)? The SilverFast web site does not make this clear and seem to be contradict itself. I would prefer not to have to use the batch processing available in Cyberview X5.
chrome-extension://ecnphlgnajanjnkcmbpancdjoidceilk/http://www.silverfast.com/download/docu/silverfast8versioncomparisonchart_en_2015-04-29.pdf suggests it is included in SE version where
chrome-extension://ecnphlgnajanjnkcmbpancdjoidceilk/http://www.silverfast.com/download/docu/silverfast8batchscan_en_2015-04-16.pdf states such functionally is only available in Ai Studio version. I tried to do a demo update to Plus SE but this does not seem to be available for the PrimeFilmXA (or Reflecta RPS 10m which I believe is the same thing).

Re: Understanding different versions
Dear customer,
The base batch functionality is also available in SE.
The advanced frame detection and automated image adjustment functions in deed require Ai Studio.
The SE and SE Plus batch functionality is mainly suited for creating HDR(i) RAW archive images for later processing in SilverFast HDR (Studio).
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn

Re: Understanding different versions
that is funny, having the same problem here
(stumbled on this webside with this problem and decided to register for more information)
have reflecta 7200 pro with automatic batch function (acquired 13/04)
Ai Studio 8 shows batchfunction as an option, but does not function (8.0 version 2012)
therefore I use Cyberview for 5-photo film strips , SF for individual photo's that need more detail
that is a real bother, having to scan 10.000 plus pictures over the years

Dear customer,
version 8.0 would be quite outdated.
Please install the latest update from our website.
