Recently I bought a Reflecta RPS 10M scanner and Silverfast SE Plus software. After 1 scan have have the problem which was reported already in 2014. I get messages 'PF7250PRO3_x64: Image Data Error 1 (DRAM Issue)'.
Result: I am not able to continue. I have to shutdown SF. Via Windows 10 Taskmanager I can stop the proces 'Silverfast 8 Executable'. Sometimes it is possible to start SF again and scan another dia. But mostly ik have to restart the computer.
Ik could not find the solution for the reported problem although it was reported bij several users. So who has the solution?
And: My computer meets the requirement for use of SF SE Plus. I use Windows 10. I have the scanner directly connected tot USB-connection of the computer. I use de USB-cable, supported by Reflecta.

Dear user,
The message is directly issued by the scanner's driver. Make sure you are using the latest SilverFast 8 update. It includes the current manufacturer driver.
Also make sure the firmware on the scanner is up to date. The firmware (a 64kb large .bin file) can be downloaded from the manufacturer's website and uploaded to the scanner through the CyberView Help menu.
Also make sure your system has enough RAM and free space on the main hard drive available.
DRAM issue sounds like a memory issue.
For more information also contact the manufacturer's support. They might be able to tell you what the error means exactly.
Kind regards,
Arne

Re: Silverfast SE Plus: Image Data Error 1 PF7250PRO3_x64
I supposed that the sequence of handling is the cause of the problem. With my new sequence the error problem disappeared.
My sequence is:
Put the slide in scanner (scanner is on) -> Prescan in Workflow mode-> Eventually switching to manual mode -> adjusting the slide -> Scan slide - eject slide with eject button on scanner and put next slide in scanner -> switch back tot Workflow mode (in this way SF is put in a defined start position) -> repeat the scan procedure -> etc.
Since I follow these procedure I get no 'Image Dat error 1'.
In my opinion the problem is a not good working interface between scanner and SF.

Dear user,
No this is not an issue between SilverFast and the Scanner. The error is directly issued by the scanner driver and not SilverFast. Also other users do not report any such issues.
Kind regards,
Arne
