Hello, I have tried the Auto Frame function in 6.5, and it generally works quite well. However, I usually get a bit of the black frame of the slide (Reflecta DigitDia 4000), but then I discovered the Auto Frame Inset parameter. This gave me smaller frames and the black border was gone. So far so good.
But, in Batch mode it seems that this parameter is not active, I'm getting the "full" frame discovered by Auto Frame. This is a nuisance, because the iSRD algorithms create funny stuff in the black, and also the processing time increases.
Is it by design, or could this be a fixable problem?
Best regards,
Marek (Oslo, Norway)
BTW We are running a successful scanning business based on the DigitDia + SilverFast; automated mode is crucial to us since we are offering low-cost volume scanning services and can't do every slide manually.
Auto frame inset - not active in Batch mode?
