I recently acquired this scanner and as I was trying to do my first scan I came up with an image with a purple color cast (the prescan came out ok, but the color cast was present at the small thumbnail during scanning process already and at the final image).
I'm using the SF Launcher (standalone).
After many attempts I changed to 48-bit color depth, the scan came out with the correct color. The jpeg file wouldn't open on Photoshop, but scanning as a tiff file worked ok and I could get the file open.
So it turns out I'm corned on 48bit Tiffs.
Is this a common bug for this release? Did I do something wrong during the install? Is this a color managements problem?

Guilherme

Dear Guilherme
48 bits of colour is not part of the JPEG standard. Only SilverFast HDR or DCPro will read such files. "Ordinary" JPEG is limited to 24 bits of colour.
If you want to use image files formats with compression options, check out e.g. JPEG2000 (which is offered for SilverFast Ai Studio).
