Sprintscan 4000 vs. 4000 plus

I'm about to decide between buying a 4000 or a 4000 plus.... Is there much of a visual difference in the final scans between the two? I want to have the best scans possible. Should I spend the extra money just for the larger dmax and bits that the 4000 plus has?

What are the improvements besides the dmax and bits....better handling of the film?

more dmax is good, the scanner can see more details.

I suggest you bring a film to your polaroid seller and let him demonstrate to you the scans of this image with both devices.
