I have noticed that not much is mentioned about scanning agfa scala film. has anyone has any success with it and if so where can i get info on how to properly scan it. i have a polaroid 8000 with silverfast 6. please help.
its very frustrating. also all of my attemps have been getting straking in the very dark shadow area.

Dear Attis.
In some very seldom cases the Reflections of the film emulsion can cause irritating results. Can you post a small example of the areas and results you are talking about?
For now I recommend to switch off all automatic image optimizations because the default parameters will lead to unwanted results.

I will post an example ASAP. but you have not addressed the major point of scanning scala film with great results. PLEASE any info would be helpful. curves? info. anything thanks

Frankly there is no profile or curve settings I can provide that will give you great results with all your scala scans. Do it the manual way and use the powerful editing tools that SilverFast has to offer.
