Dear Polaroid Sprintscan and Microtek Artixscan 120 users

neither LSI testing center not Microtek engineer could reproduce the problem presented above with the AS120 with firmware 1.70.
However, it does happen with the SS120 (along with a colour channel mismatch) with the firmware 1.33, but the very same scanner!

Are there no chance in ever getting an updated firmware from Polaroid, you will have to see if Microtek can help you with providing appropriate firmware EEPROMs.
However, this one is not for the faint at heart... 8)

Please note that the customer sbosman stated on phone that he experienced this problem can be solved by using a colour filter (can be activated in >Options >Special) when scanning in greyscale mode, too.

Best regards

Dear All,

here is a colour image where blurry stripes were obtained with the Polaroid SS120 at full resolution (4000dpi).

Dear Polaroid Sprintscan 120 users

now there's light at the tunnel's end 8)
Microtek support staff offer to provide EEPROM from Microtek Artixscan 120 which can be used with the SS120.

This enables you to work with an the more recent firmware release 1.70 (instead of Polaroid's 1.33) which solves any trouble with striped scans or colour channel mismatches that could be reproduced in LaserSoft's testing center or by Microtek's engineers.

The EEPROM is offered for only EUR 8,- plus postage and VAT.
Please contact support@microtek.de for an individual offer.

Best regards
