Not Enough Memory for Prescan?

G3 266 768MB ram OS 9.2.2 500MBassigned to PS 6.0.1
Clean installed Ai 5.5 for SS4000
SF Ai Starts up fine but when I click the prescan I get a "Not enough memory for prescan" error message???
All non essential extentions turned off, same thing. I've reassigned PS varying amounts of memory, no effect. Any thougts anyone? Loading 5.5 was brutal.
Finally Martin told be to switch off Polaroid SSFW Family Extention and it worked. But now this. Is there some other conflict? If I never get this resolved am I entitled to a refund? Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!

If you do not have it already, update to SF ver. 5.5.1.
