I am having a devil of a time with this.
I have read all of the posts and have been following Ian's tutorial. I just upgraded to 5.5. I loaded the twain driver and not the Photoshop driver. I can get through the B/W calibration but it doesn't like my framing for the color. I have checked the slide mount, used staticmaster, and have tried at least 12 variations on the framing theme. Am going to try the Photoshop driver.
Maybe it doesn't like the coordinates of where I live?!?

Dear Lisa,
in cases like this one it is really helpful for us if you could e-mail a screenshot of the framed target in your pre-scan window.
Please also include the name of the reference file you're using and send all the information to:
martin@silverfast.com
I'll get back to you on monday.

This issue has been resolved via personal e-mail. In case you're having a calibration problem, please make sure you select the correct reference file for your target. If your target says "C-Roes" in the lower left corner, please look for the reference file that resembles to the date printed in the lower left corner of your target. If you're using a target that has "Lasersoft" printed on it, please look for the reference file by the "charge-number" of that target. The charge-number is either directly on the target, on the slide mount or on a sticker on the plastic sleeve. Even though some Lasersoft- targets also say "for Kodak Ektachrome", the reference file is listed under "Lasersoft", not Kodak. If you need a reference file that is not on your CD, you can download it from here:
http://www.silverfast.com/download/it8c ... on-en.html
Windows- users: click the reference file with the RIGHT mousebutton, then select "save target as..."
Macintosh- users: hold the control-key , click on the file and select "download link to disk"
