IT-8 Calibration Documentation

Postby bsantana » Mon Feb 03, 2003 10:28 pm

I just upgraded to SF6.0. I downloaded and printed the manual that is 282 pages long as well as the SF6 addendum. I see in the documentation section there is a SF ai IT-8 Calibration document as well. It refers to a special version of "Silverfast IT-8". Is this different than what I upgraded to? I have the IT-8 calibration slide from my previous version of SF5.02 but I have never tried it. I want to be more methodical and detailed with SF6. Do I need another program for IT-8 calibration? I have found a Calibration section in the Color Management chapter of the main (large)manual. Is this the documentation I need to use or is there something about the program referenced in the IT-8 document I need? Thanks for any help.

Dear Mr. Santana.

IT8 is an upgrade to the normal Ai version. IT8 versions use another serial number to enable this feature. If you had IT8 for your version 5, you have hopefully entered the version 5 IT8 serial number when you upgraded to version 6. To check whether, It8 is enabled in your v6 version, look for the IT8 icon on the left side of the preview. If you don?t see this icon, please contact the sales department at sales@silverfast.de and tell them that you had version 5 with IT8 but now a version 6 without.

The documentation for IT8 should be included in the main document.

I hope that helps.

Eric.
