Glass carrier for the ss120

just picked up this scanner and have lots of questions . But I'll start off with asking about the glass film carrier ... I seem to be missing the glass where can I get this from ?

Ok I'll give that a go . For some reason I was under the assumption that Polaroid had gone bust and was not conducting business anymore

While I wait for a reply from Polaroid has anyone heard of or used scanhancer ? They seem to be selling a product that looks like it would work in place of the Polaroid glass ?

I've also heard rumors of Microtek ArtixScan 120tf glass being used in the Polaroid but no actual confirmation that this is a viable option for a replacement . Anyone able to clear this up .

I haves bought my glassholder here in Sweden. Microtek, PT# MK-0010-043.
It wasn?t cheap. Hope this helps.

Technically the Artixscan 120tf is the same as the Polaroid SS120, except the software identity. Microtek has built the film scanners for Polaroid.

SF Ai v6.5.5r5 Polaroid Sprintscan 120. IT8 calibration. WinXP.

1. What am I doing wrong when both Options/CMS/Colour Management/Input-> and -Profiles for ICM/Input are greyed? Both dropdowns were working and the next time I opened SF they were grey.

2. Is it enough to use one target to calibrate? I have 35 mm and 6x7 and have used both.

3. The Auto-adjust button is grey, it was coloured before.

4. I have MultiScan but not the much talked about Multi-Exposure. I do use 48 Bit.

Dear Jan Mark,

1. You seem to work in negative mode. Please switch to positive in the main dialog's "General" panel, then Colormanagement is available. In negative mode, however, the NegaFix profiles take care of color correction.

2. Yes, one target is enough, take the better (newer) one.

3. Is connected to item 1 above.

4. Multi-Exposure is available for the SS120, but unfortunately the scanner has a firmware problem, which makes Multi-Exposure unsuccessful for scan resolutions above 2000 dpi. Up to 2000 dpi, however, Multi-Exposure will reduce noise and enhance the dynamic range of your scans, which is especially good for shadow details in dark positives.
