When using the multiple scan technique with my Polaroid 4000 Sprintscan, I'm getting "ghosting" in the image. This has happened at both the 8 scan setting and the 4 scan setting. Is there a fix?

Yes, stop using multisample scanning. The feature is no longer available in SilverFast for the SS4000 since the scanner is not really suited to multiple passes - alignment is NOT good.

Hi Ian,

That is interesting what you say. How and where do I disable this? Could you send a Screenshot from the menu?

Thanks in advance

Rainer,

About half way down the page on the following link you will see a section on Multiple Sample feature. You can find the button on the vertical tool bar that resides on the left of the image preview window. There is a single Icon with a "1" shown. Each time you click it it will change to a new number, e.g. 4 then 16. If you click again it will return to "1". When it shows "1" multiple sample is OFF.
