Dear Dean,
we you write you are scanning at 300 dpi, I think you must use a certain scaling larger than 100%
(otherwise you would end up with 300x450 pixels only). What is this scaling you are using?

Hi Martin,
The scaling factor is 1102.5. I arrived at that by choosing 300dpi and a finished image size of 10 X 15 (I want to have enough data to be able to print 10 X 12 inch prints). Since my last post, I have experienced a couple of times when everything has worked as it should, but it is very sporadic and I am doing nothing different between the times that it works versus when it doesn't.

could you try to scan at a lower resolution for testing purposes, maybe effectively 1800 dpi?
