Hello there,
My new scanner arrived yesterday. Plustek 82001 SE. Running on Mac OS 10.11.1.
I am scanning 35mm film. Every time I try to pre-scan the scanner only scans / previews about 3/4 of the frame. A strip along the image stays white.
If I try to move to the next step and scan, the scanner makes a low 'straining' sound and the status says "unknown error" and crashes.
I have to quit Silverfast software and turn the scanner on and off for it to scan again. And then it does the same thing. So I haven't got a full prescan or scan yet.
The film is in the holder correctly and holder is placed in the scanner correctly.
I am worried the scanner broke in transport to me. It feels like it has been knocked out of place?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks!
Joachim.
Scans half of prescan frame. And then crashes on my Mac.

Re: Scans half of prescan frame. And then crashes on my Mac.
Dear Joachim,
This happens when an older driver is in use.
To make sure the latest driver is installed please do the following.
First delete the Plustek****.framework files from the directory /Library/Frameworks.
Then download and install the latest update from our website and restart your Mac.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
