I've been using my Plustek 7600i with the latest Siverfast AI successfully for the past couple of weeks. Just today I scanned a couple of roles of B&W negatives, all of which looked good in Silverfast. When I opened the tiffs, I found some nasty artifacts on every image. I've attached an example.
As I said, this image looked fine in Silverfast when I scanned it. Is this a problem with my scanner or Silverfast?
Thanks,
Patrick

Dear Patrick,
B&W images can not be corrected using iSRD.
The silver halide emulsion distorts the infrared beam. Please use the software sided SRD to correct scratches and dust.
kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
