Problem running 64-bit Demo version

I have installed the latest Plustek 64-bit drivers OK (32-bit version (6.6.2r5) can no longer find the scanner).
Installed 64-bit demo version of Silverfast 8 but when it opens, there is nothing in the 'Image Source' box and I cannot select anything in this box.

I have tried the 32-bit demo version on a 32-bit machine and that all worked OK.

Is there an issue with the 64-bit demo version of Silverfast 8?

SilverFast 6 is a 32bit software and can not use 64bit drivers.

SilverFast 8 64bit works with those drivers.
Make sure the scanner was not attached during the installation.

Also check that no other imaging devices are attached.
(scanner, web-/digi-/phone-cam, multifunction printer, WACOM tablet, etc.)
Those might cause a driver conflict.
