Plustek Optifilm 7200 not capturing all of square slides

Hi,
I am using SilverFast SE 6.6 with the standard mounted film holder for my Ektachrome square slides and the Original dimensions show 1.4 for horizontal and 1.0 for vertical. When I do a prescan it appears to cut off the top and bottom 1/4 inch of the slde. I have tried increasing the preview window further but it will not and appears to be at maximum. Using 1200dpi resolution (Other) and an output of 5.0 x 3.5 in. I tried to increase the 1.4 and 1.0 and it appears to let me however goes right back to 1.4 and 1.0 after I move to the other field. It is as is the scanner is set to ONLY scan at those dimensions so that any of my square slides of this size will be cut off and i have alot. I have some of the smaller window slides that fit fine. Why can i not change the scan Original dimensions? Do i need a patch or different scanner? If so give me a model that will scan the larger Ektachrome slides. I even took a small cutting device and cut off some of the slide tray thinking if i opened the tray black areas that hold the slide it would see the extra film. No go.

Dear Ron,

You scanner unfortunately only has the capability to scan images in one direction and only in the given format.
The film tray gives exactly the size of the scan area.
The scanner does not have the capability to scan outside these boundaries.

Thank you for the information. Do you have a scanner model that will allow me to scan to the FULL 1.4 x 1.4 area?? I was looking at the Optifilm 8200 series.

Dear customer,

The only Plustek model capable of scanning this format would be the OpticFilm 120.

Most dedicated filmscanners are limited to the 36x24mm scan area.

You might want to consider using a flatbed device like the Canon 9000F Mark II or EPSON V750.
