Plustek 8100 distortion issue

I've recently purchased the 8100 film scanner and noticed a weird distortion happening to every image that I scan.

The distortion happens in the same place on every image.

I've double checked that it isn't my negatives as I have scanned the sam neg using a different scanner and everything is fine.

The link below is an example of the problem I have been having. The bottom right image is the one that was scanned using a different scanner and has no distortion issue.

This will not be a software issue.
Looks like an issue with the sensor's rail.
