New system and all that entails! Plustek 8100, Silverfast SE plus and Phototoshop 7.
The maximum I can scan a B&W negative is 700 ppi.
No matter what I have done the 'custom' button reverts to 700ppi and the slider setting is totally ignored.
Saved scans all report that the scanned image is 700ppi so is there some way I can change 'custom' to the maximum I need for Minox and 16mm films?
v**s**n works fine but I hate to come up with the $$$.

Dear customer,
Please check the scaling for the output settings (Gearwheel symbol).
Try resetting it to 100% before adjusting the resolution.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.

Thanks, Arne, but the cogwheel opens another 'expert' screen but nowhere can I see scaling. No mention of percentages. The particular gearwheel is directly under the res. slider.
The slider set to max. promises a 24MB scan! If only. All I can get is about 700kB. This is from a 110 B&W negative. There is a lot of detail lost in there.

Dear Murray,
The boxes are actually labeled zoom. I wrote scaling because of their function. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
Kind regards,
Arne Ketelhohn.
